Erickson Recreation began with two North Palm Beach friends who were tired of driving across the county for dependable equipment. We opened in Lake Victoria Gardens to give nearby athletes a place to ask a real question, test the fit, and leave ready for their next session.
It started small. Each new service came from a request made by a customer, coach, school, or outdoor group close to home.
In 2018, lifelong North Palm Beach residents Marisol Vega and Darius Bell opened a compact shop in Lake Victoria Gardens. Their first shelves held running shoes, youth football equipment, tennis racquets, and a lot of practical advice.
A local middle-school coach asked us to outfit three teams. We built a simple ordering process for uniforms, protective equipment, and replacement pieces that families could manage without a long trip.
Customers wanted gear for the water as well as the court. We added paddle equipment, dry bags, life jackets, and guidance from instructors who know South Florida conditions.
Our online shop now makes repeat orders easier for families, clubs, and schools. The same staff still answer questions by phone and in person before you choose.
Good equipment matters. So does the person helping you choose it.
We put more than $50,000 back into local youth leagues since opening, with equipment support and practical help for coaches.
Our staff includes certified running coaches, golf fitters, and water sports instructors who use the gear they recommend.
We stock sensible options for first-time players, growing children, returning athletes, and people refining one favourite sport.
Each year we organise the Lake Victoria Clean-Up Paddle with local clubs. The shoreline should be ready for the next outing.
